Restore a deleted MoodleCloud site

Modified on Thu, 19 Mar at 7:20 PM

If a MoodleCloud subscription ends and is not renewed, the site is suspended for up to 30 days before it is deleted. A site restore may be possible.

We understand that life gets busy and technical hiccups can happen to anyone. If your subscription reaches the end of its term without a successful renewal or reactivation, the site will be suspended for up to 30 days (depending on the type of plan you have). During this time you can still access your customer portal to update your billing details and upgrade to a paid MoodleCloud plan

If the suspension period passes without reactivation, your site will be removed from our active servers, but a backup is kept for a few weeks before it is permanently removed from our system.

If your site has been recently deleted and you would like it back, please contact the MoodleCloud Team to enquire whether it is possible to restore your site from a backup:

  • This may incur a restore fee of $100.00 AUD
  • Once restored, your subscription will be reactivated with a currently available plan matching your previous plan quotas (options and current prices are available on our MoodleCloud Plans webpage).

If you choose not to restore your site, or if too much time has passed and we no longer have a backup of your site, you are always welcome to start a trial or sign up to one of our MoodleCloud plans.
