When you sign up for a paid plan with MoodleCloud and add a new payment method, we send an authorisation charge of $1 to verify that the card you have nominated is valid and the bank will allow payment.
The authorisation charge is reversed immediately and no funds are deducted from your account, however, the transaction may appear your bank statement for a few days.
This verification will also happen every time you Change your MoodleCloud billing details in your customer portal.
