Why am I getting an error when trying to connect to my site?
You may encounter one of the following error messages when attempting to connect your site to the Moodle app:
- "You are trying to connect to a Moodle site that is no longer supported by this application. Please contact your site administrator."
- "The site [url] is no longer supported in this app. You can still access it using a web browser. If you have any questions, please contact your school or learning organization."
- (Spanish translation) "El sitio [url] ya no es compatible con esta aplicación. Aún puede acceder a él utilizando un navegador web. Si tiene alguna pregunta, por favor contacte a su escuela u organización educativa."
What does this mean?
This error usually indicates that your site is hosted by a non-official Moodle hosting service provider. To continue using the Moodle mobile app, you will need to:
- Sign up for a Moodle App Premium subscription to regain access. You can do this by visiting the Moodle Apps Portal.
- Alternatively, migrate your hosting to MoodleCloud or a Moodle Certified Service provider, which will include the Premium plan at no extra cost.
If you need immediate access to the app, we recommend signing up for a Premium plan at https://apps.moodle.com.
*Please, contact your local Moodle Certified Service Provider for more information.
